There's A New Game Patch And The App Doesn't Work, Why?
Sometimes, when there is a new game patch, the Overwolf team needs to re-enable their API so things will work as intended, or the Epic API will need to shut down for a bit. There is a service status in the app that indicates if the app is having issues, or if everything is working normally.
The Service Status Is Green, The App's Still Not Working In Live Matches.
In most cases, issues can be resolved by:
1. Closing Fortnite.
2. Closing Overwolf from your system tray, like so:
3. Opening the Fortnite Tracker app.
4. Launching Fortnite.
I Can’t See The App’s Overlay In-Game.
There are a few possibilities for this:
A). You installed the app while the game is still running. If that’s the case:
1. Quit Fortnite.
2. Close Overwolf from your system tray like so:
3. Open our Fortnite Tracker app.
4. Launch Fortnite.
B). Make sure that Overwolf’s overlay settings for Fortnite is set to “Enabled” and your hotkey is assigned.
1. Quit Fortnite.
2. Open "Overwolf" from the Windows Search Bar.
3. Navigate to the Settings page.
4. Enable Overlays for Fortnite.
5. Make sure your hotkey to show/hide the app is assigned. You can pick a hotkey of your liking.
5. Launch Fortnite
C). Make sure you're not running Fortnite as an Administrator.
1. Close Fortnite
2. Find Fortnite.exe
3. Right click on the .exe file > Compatibility > Uncheck "Run this program as an administrator" > Apply.
